Modify machined parts with high-precision hand-tools


Position Responsibilities

If you are a detail oriented person with good hand-eye coordination and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career in tool making, then look no further! FROST is looking to hire and train persons for a critical part of their rotary die manufacturing process — hand finishing/sharpening of creasing and cutting dies.

  • Key Position – this position is a critical part of our rotary die manufacturing process

Position Responsibilities

  • Hand engrave/sharpen rotary embossing, creasing and cutting dies used for cutting paperboard and other materials

  • Work with specialized hand tools (carbide scrapers, micro-picks and die grinders) while viewing the part under a microscope

  • Inspect dies under a microscope as part of incoming and outgoing quality control

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency

  • Detail oriented with a keen ability to focus and concentrate on small details for long periods

  • Steady and controlled hands - good hand-eye coordination

  • A desire to deliver the highest quality workmanship

  • No previous experience required; experience working under a microscope, i.e., micro-soldering, micro-welding, micro-assembly, etc. is a plus

  • Requires sitting and working under a microscope for long periods
